Role Overview
This is a client-facing PPC Account Management role within a Google Ads agency focused on franchise businesses. The position is ideal for someone who understands Google Ads technically but enjoys strategy, communication, and client management more than hands-on campaign execution.
You will act as the main point of contact between clients and the internal media buying team. Your role will involve leading performance calls, translating client feedback and business goals into actionable briefs, and proactively identifying account issues before they impact client satisfaction.
This is not a campaign execution role, but a strong technical understanding of Google Ads is essential in order to confidently guide conversations, interpret performance data, and provide strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities
Lead regular strategy, reporting, and update calls with franchisors and franchisees.
Present campaign performance in a clear, professional, and non-technical manner.
Translate client goals, concerns, and feedback into structured briefs for the media buying team.
Monitor account performance and proactively flag issues such as:
Wasted ad spend
Poor lead quality or intent mismatch
Conversion tracking issues
Budget pacing concerns
Performance drops or anomalies
Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and responsiveness.
Keep CRM records, meeting notes, and internal documentation accurate and up to date.
Coordinate internally with media buyers to ensure client expectations and campaign objectives are aligned.
Requirements
Native-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on Google Ads experience.
Strong technical understanding of:
Match types
Performance Max campaigns
Negative keywords
Conversion tracking
Lead generation campaign structure
Comfortable interpreting PPC performance metrics and identifying trends or issues.
Strong organisational and client management skills.
Experience in an agency environment is beneficial but not required.
